There is going to be no situation where Muslims question scriptural authority.
The form of sceptical doubting Islam will exist in the mind of the weak faith.....
most Muslims ARE NOT COERCED into the faith ....and most are free to leave irrespective of the consequences ......most of us dismiss the overweight mad mullahs....however we love the prophet Muhammad and the rightly guided caliph and the great Sufi’s of the age...
Unfortunately you need to abandon your own shallow interpretation of Islam.....
Your arguments are based on a straw man version of Islam - a misconstrued, misunderstood, misrepresented and rather uneducated notion of what Islam claims and really is.
Your judgement of Islam has been grossly distorted by taking the extremes to be the norm. Extremes, like the cutting off of hands, are rarely practised. The guiding principle and spirit of Islamic law, taken straight from the Qur'an, should be those of equity and compassion.
Unless you fundamental except that the first step in Islam is existential and everything follows from that first step then you will never get it...

Brow beating & demonising Muslim only seems to strengthen their religious conviction.... Islam will not be moulded into a liberal democratic Islam of you liking.....most liberal are arrogant self serving individuals and are not morally superior to me and certainly not morally superior to the prophet Muhammad (pbuh).....
If it came to choose between Aristotle, Socrates, Plato, Buddha, Muhammad, Descartes, Hume .Erasmus, Voltaire.
